There are many legends and myths swirling around the Northern Lights. The Alaskan Natives, Native Americans, and Scandinavians believe that there is a connection between the Aurora and the heavens. That the lights are a conduit of sorts for spirits to return to the earth.
There is nothing in my life, save the birth of my children, that has touched me as spiritually as standing under the Northern Lights as they dance and snap across a winter sky. Most don't know that when the Aurora is especially strong, it makes noise, an electrical-type of crack and pop that makes the hair on your body raise and sends chills that there is something more out there.
